This project aims to prove breeding varroa resistant bees is possible and sustainable in Australia and will be conducted over a two year period. 

Our goal is to breed bees  adapted  to  "fight  the  mite"  by using a new tool developed by scientists in the USA ,    substantially reducing the  costs  of  producing  future  food  crops  and  managing  bee hives.
